Scored another metal sign, garage art. Went in the local hardware store to get paint saturday, noticed they changed paint suppliers. I've had my eye on this extra sign in the back room for 10 yrs, but didn't figure he would let it go. Now was the time to ask. We struck a deal after I told him I used to squirt Martin Senour paint in the 80s/90s. It still has the plastic protect wrap on it.

Went in this morn to pick it up and he said just take it, that it was free to him. I told him that didn't matter and paid him anyway😁

Now for more moving around stuff to fit on the wall🥴

Nice score!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Cool sign. Sounds like two decent guys making a good deal.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Very nice, I scored a road sign where my wife grew up, found it in the basement of an old house

On our last Texas trip a couple of years ago I scored a sign form a shop where my dad worked in the 50s. I'm not sure it was there when he was but it wasn't open for long after he was there. There is another one that's closed and falling down I'd love to get into. I wish I knew who owns it now.

Little local car show tomorrow. I've been doing a few things to my '53 that needed attention. I put some linseed oil on the bed wood, too late to save it. I tightened up the shifter and The shift knob. Fixed an exhaust leak, charged the battery and cleaned the inside. When the sun goes behind the mountain I may even wash it.  ::)

It wa a fun little show around 45 vehicles about 40 of them from within 25 miles. Most from within 10. The Model A coupe was from the farthest away, Sonora,CA. The son of one of our friends who runs a hot rod shop there. A very eclectic gathering of locals with cold beer and great burgers. I'll post a few pictures let me know if you want more.  :)

These are great, the fancy ones and the no so fancy. Small shows, they're the best.

Nice pics sixball!  Can't believe they fit those rear tires in that Nash Metropolitan.

Here's a few more, gettin over to my side.  ;D

The two Metros are related. The primer one was left overs from the black one. One man's trash is another man's Metro!  ::) The black one has wheel cut outs and a small block Chevy (like about 75% of everything there). The primer one has no outside body mods and a 390 Ford. The primer one and the Fiat ,with a Caddy, belong to the same guy who is the father of the A coupe guy. The white T and the Fiat owners are the guys who volunteered to help me with my roadster and the black Metro owner is the cabinet maker that is helping with the wood. There are lots of other connections in this group, part of the fun.
