Title: Ordered a new Eastwood TIG welder
Post by: EDNY on December 19, 2022, 07:06:30 PM
Just ordered an Eastwood 200 Amp Digital AC/DC TIG Welder (SKU: 20589) after some discount code searches etc.  Sold my Miller Syncrowave SD180 AC/DC TIG which was a workhorse, just want to have an AC/DC TIG with pulse and frequency adjustments especially for thinner metals.

I have two other Eastwood units, a plasma and a 110v MIG...both have been great. Still have a Miller Millermatic 185 Mig and a Miller Spot Welder..all of my welders work great.

What has been surprising me lately is after getting "shipping quotes" ie UPS/FEDEX they then offer "shipping insurance" for another $15? I thought shipping insurance was part of the shipping cost ;D

Upselling for no valid reason at all?
Shouldn't UPS/FEDEX be responsible for the goods when in transit anyway?

I'm pretty sure damage to the goods is on the company that does the transport, weather they are insured or not.

Won't mention any names but one car warranty repair insurance company on the radio says with our insurance "you won't have to pay for any covered auto repairs anymore".

Yep! covered!
