Spent about 2 hrs at the junkyard.  Once inside I beelined it to the jap/compact cars.  Trying to move quickly I was only looking at cars with the interior taken apart. Wanted to find one with the mechanics and cable. under the floor like the Lokar unit. I came across a few but a 4door Geo Tracker fit the bill.  Pulled it quickly but stood in line forever.
Now they charge you a $3.70 "environmental fee" .  Whatever,  I just chalked it up to cheap shipping.

Once home I already knew where to mount it.  Had to cut a 3" x 1/2"  slit in the floor.  Had to get creative with the cable's but.... we have a E-brake now that actually works.  The original didn't have enough throw.

Old e-brake out. Yesterday I also installed a new brake light switch , beefier bracket to work with the Overdrive lockup feature.

Seat and belts are in. Called up a tow truck.  I didn't drive it over cause it has a bit of shudder going forward.
They had the tyranny out when I got off work.

Thanks.
Drove it home Friday.  Had a race to go to, so it's sat since then.

Hope everything works well now!

It was so hot driving home,  I didn't enjoy it.
Noticed a few things during that drive.  I have a vibration somewhere and when he had on jackstands with the rear tires spinning going thru the gears I noticed the LR tire hopping up and down.
Thinking my axles were not drilled right when I changed to the chevy bolt pattern may be it.
Yesterday I put it on stands,  let the rear wheels spin but wheels looked straight,  had a slight out of round in the tire.  Nothing drastic.
I need to drive it more.  Brakes were rusty from sitting and pulsated a bit but better when I got home.
Also the speedometer isn't working right.  Called classic and they said to recalibrate it .
Adjusted the e-brake and  backed off the self adjusters .

Looking forward to hear how it's going with the brakes and wheel balance, when
you get a cooler day to drive, and will be able to enjoy it.
It's fall here already, so it being too warm to enjoy driving feels pretty distant...

It was 95°f here today.  Went straight to the garage after work.  Looked everything over.  Lowered the tires to 30psi . When it was cooler I took it for a drive to recalibrate the speedometer.
Had me take it up to a GPS 60mph and read what the speedo was saying.  It read 63 but would dive off to zero and jump back to 63 repeatedly. The pulse sensor was a bit loose,  hopefully that fixes it.

Wow what a difference.  Overdrive chilling at 2200rpm. 😎
3rd is still 3,000 though.
Makes it alot quieter and handled better at those speeds.
Im actually excited to remove all that wood and start putting in steel.  So far im pretty happy about it 😊

After driving it to work.  Still some vibes.  I wonder about the polyurethane trans mount ?  May change it to rubber.
I'll stick my gopro under the frame and take some video  .
Called classic again.  He said try some shrink tubing on the square drive to fill any gap for the speedo.  It failed,  it reads zero.

Trans shop recommended a new speedo gear.  I can do that.  Also gave me a cap if I pull the driveshaft for a rebalance.  Fluids are spendy these days.
I have all weekend.  Hopefully I can sort it out.

I hope you find it. Those kinds of things are annoying and often hard to find.

Seems those ES polyurethane mounts have alot of hate in the camaro world.
Nobody has these rubber mounts in town  😟. So....its summit to the rescue. 😎
Should be here Tuesday if not sooner.  I'll be working Monday

I figure a good place to start anyway.

So I've been going over my leftover wires to hook up the "OD Lockup".
I have a red, brown and purple . Purple is for the power antenna but there is 2 purple wires.  I believe the one end is hooked up to the stereo and the other end to antenna.
Since I don't have that and need a keyed source.  I'll attach purple to the "acc" on the switch and use the other end for the toggled lockout.
After the toggle switch to the brake switch.

Still sorting out the speedometer.  I pulled off the pulse sensor and attached a cordless drill.  Seems to work and then drops off.  Playing with the wires to see if that affects it.
New rubber mount is arriving tomorrow.
