Anyone have a source for those mini U-Joints used on steering linkage?

They are approx:  1.600 wide and caps .600 cap diameter

Been searching..but can't find them.

Ed I get mine through Speedway Mtrs, but they are listed on e-bay under Borgeson steering u-joints.

I live about 2 miles from the Borgeson factory. They should have just about anything you want for all shaft configurations such as splined or "D" They also have a joint that has a built in vibration damper to absorb road shock. I've been using them for years and have them on my 32.I Highly recommend them.

I was hoping to locate just the universal by itself like a drive shaft joint replacement.  I have steering linkage with "welded joints" that could use new universals.

Try searching it as a universal  joint cross bearing. That might help you.

I believe the units that speedway sell have a allen bolt in them to hold the universal in place, and looks like yours

Thanks guys...I just spent a couple hours trying to locate just the universal without luck...so I just bought another complete one. Figured if I did locate one..it would be cheaper to buy the entire joint anyway.

First off let me say that BORGESON makes both a steel and a stainless steel and also aluminum steering joints.  The other people are ***flaming river***. Both produce superior product.    From looking at your steel joint it appears you have a borgeson joint in the picture.

These joints come in d pockets in 3/4" size and also splined 3/4" x 36 splines and other sizes . Shafts for the right length can be ordered directly.  Use 3/4" wood dowel to make lengths you need before ordering.

NONE of these joints is intended to be welded and they STRONGLY say not to ever do that.  Your taking your life into your own hands !!!!!  nuf said.
