EDNY,  I have heard of that place or some other similar northern towns. It is still not that bad on the southern border, at least coming this way. ;D
I had more trouble than that when my horses were liberated by a "wild" herd. It was just before dark and I was able to get a rope in the 3 year old stud but the two mares were his mom and sister that he had never been very far way from. He was taking me out through the sage at about twenty feet a stride. I knew he could do that longer than I could so I let him have the rope. I found them the next day and several times later but since they were all born here and I had no papers on them and the laws about "wild horses forbid you to chase them I was never able to recover them. They will greatly improve the blood line given a chance.  ::)

62131, The cans don't blow over in the wind and are more fun to shoot if you pee in them. And of course the yard near the porch isn't as muddy.  :o

I would but I would have to leave my weapon at home. Unless you can check it some where.

ONCE YOU GET HERE , THERE IS NO REASON TO HAVE A SIDE ARM OR RIFLE WHILE WALKING THE STREETS OR DRIVING AROUND.  STAY OUT OF THE U KNOW WHAT AREAS AND EVERYTHING IS HUNKY DORY.

NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU COME TO THE BORDER WITH A GUN........ITS GOING TO GET CONFISCATED, SO CHECK IT INTO STORAGE SOMEWHERE BEFORE THE BORDER.

As I remember, when I was there, the beer was expensive and warm, the food was expensive and bland and a gallon of gas was cheap.....oh no, that for a liter! Come down and see us, Mike, we'll take you to the gun range.

You must have stopped in NIAGARA FALLS NY , not in Niagara falls Ontario.  Our beer is plenty cold all the time and its alcohol content is way higher than the panther piss stuff you guys gulp.  You could not drink a dozen Canadian beer for the first time.  Only place your going to get warm beer here is in an English style pub, they love the stuff and its only british beer served that way.

The food could be bland, depending on what and where your eating, again you might have wandered into a british pub establishment and not any one of thousands of ethnic restaurants that will sear your insides with their food.

Huuuum , gun range firing a weapon...reminds me of the time they had me in the militia for the summer and firing 308 whatevers at the targets . Never had the urge to fire anything again.

Mike, you're on a roll! "308 whatevers" cracked me up.
I'm just busting your chops. The only beer I drink is Miller Lite, you could call me a "Lite-weight"

now I think you need a passport, isn't that correct?

A passport is the easiest way to cross but I have an "enhanced NY drivers license" that allows me to cross the border both ways.  Most of us folks living on the border use the enhanced license because we drive back and forth several times a day and carrying a large passport is not handy...I don't even have a passport.  The enhanced license has a radio wave chip in it that pops up my info on the inspectors screen when you get near the inspection both.  I keep the license in a foil wrap to prevent frequency interference with other devices.

When I worked had an Official US Passport...but turned it in on retirement.

It was like a summer job enlisting in the milita, wearing wool uniforms and chunky boots.  But it paid real money and I needed something coming in to satisfy my urge to eat donuts and chewing gum.

They had us down to a shooting range by Niagara falls in army trucks that rode like dump trucks, we were flying around all over the place in the back.  Surprised nobody bounced out onto the interstate.

I am not sure what were were shooting but was a 308 , an army issued weapon.........maybe an enfield  ???  They told me I was really good and had best scores of any of the other hairballs in the troupe.  Said if going into army for a career should have good shot at getting into sniper school ?   No army for me thank you.

For the 7 weeks we spent in that course I spent 6 weeks of it on fatiques.  Standing there with rifle on ends of arms straight out.  That hurt.

Needless to say I was not cut out for army life and just general cutup and shi#! disturber.   But I got paid.
