Ed, that would really make sombody a nice builder. Doesn't look like you would be searching for a lot of parts. Looks pretty solid.

currently with 12 hours left in the auction, there is 232 people actively watching the auction.  Whether the bids will come high enough for somebody to buy is questionable.

AH  The one that got AWAY.   Earlier this year i sold a 1932 chevrolet deluxe roadster.and the fellow was all shook up about how to get it. It cost 1000 bucks to ship it by rail, and i am sure that it would have cost more to go get it and transport it to his place  It would have been 6 days on the road going and 6 to 7 days coming back so if you count that up 13 days on the road, fuel hauling a trailer loaded. Three meals a day maybe four, roughly 500 miles a day two guys driving ,Four cases of bottled water Two spare tires,12 nights in motels along the way.It was well worth the thousand dollars and that's with insurance. and two guys didn't loose two weeks of their lives.

Cost me $3000 to have my 35 roadster transported from Kentucky by those antique car movers.

I would have gone and got it except I was not allowed to enter USA. Lucky for the seller as there would have been an exchange of feet to knees and fists to face, big time .

By the way you don't just show up at the border with a bill of sale.  You need to have all your ducks in order paperwork wise.  Notify customs your coming 3 days in advance with pre submitting paperwork and arrive between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, NOT OPEN ON WEEKENDS .

Mentioned it before..if any of you Canadian folks need a storage point for vehicle import (north) I live about 800 yards from Canada and offer my storage for free. Yes importing into Canada take 3 days...but US cars being imported to the US is a same day/minimal paperwork  deal.  If bringing in parts ie..a vintage car with no engine it's normally a wave of the hand.

I have a set of tracings I borrowed from glen rarick in lafargeville NY and copied them with a very large industrial copy machine.  Think was $40 to $50 to ghave them done.

the patterns are supposed to be for a 1933 Chevrolet *** MASTER SERIES CA*** roadster.. NOTE the roadsters and tourings main bodys were not made by fisher body but an outside source to Chevrolet.  Same people who would have supplied the woodie wagons body.

THESE ARE SIMILAR TOO BUT NOT THE SAME WOOD AS MY 1935 CHEVROLET STANDARD SEERIES ROADSTER.

Sounds great MIKE  I do not think there was a lot of changes from 1932 to 1933 in wood ,but i am not an expert. The car that i have is a 1932 deluxe sports mans roadster. Is there any experts out here in cyber space that do know thanks  wayner

I think you will find when looking at the body shape of a 33 chev vs a 32 chev that the 1933 is wider and much more of a swept design.  The 1932 is more boxy as are most 1932's.

To replace the wood in a gm product you will need:  band saw, large belt sander, small belt sander, mortise drill press attachment, tenoning jig for a table saw, finger joint router attachment. Assorted chisels, drills, hand planes, biscuit jointer machine.

If you have good wood to make a copy of, then go ahead and take a crack at it.  Suggest you use northern ash , less prone to crack than oak.

WELL thanks for all that information Mike. I still have the 32 under cover. We think next week we are going to clean everything off of the car and we have a portable garage going over the critter. We will take pictures when that happens. I have not seen the car in almost 30 years.Every flea marked and car show we go to we purchase something for it if there is anything there  This weekend its off to Lyndhurst Ontario

there are 3-4 people who make wood kits for Chevrolets, they are not cheap and might take up to a year to get one.

If one has to replace all their wood and the existing wood is not suitable for patterns to copy, then that's your best option.

Don't know a lot about 32 chev roadsters, but I do know they offered a deluxe version with a rumble seat and a cheaper standard version without. I saw it discussed on the VCCA CHAT.

Hey Mike, a friend of mine called last night and has a Door for a 34-35 chevy 3w he is going to sell. He doesn't know, and neither do I, if the Standard series were different from the 34 Master series.  He is supposed to be sending me pics and measurements. He also has a 32 chevy hood? Says he bought for his 33 3w, but it's too long and has 4 vent doors.

If I can get the pics and ID them correctly, I will post them here for him.
                                                                    Thanks, Sammons

The 1934 - 1935 Chevrolet STANDARD SERIES, 3 window coupe and all other models & parts do not fit a 1934 Chevrolet master............its a bigger car the 34 master.  parts for these cars do not interchange, except the 34 master dash with gauges to the left and glove box to the right.......will fit a 33 master & 33 standard and 34-35 standard

1932 Chevrolet had 4 doors in the hood
1933 Chevrolet master series had 3 doors in the hood
1933 Chevrolet STANDARD SERIES  has vertical louvers
1934 1935 standard has 3 horizontal louvers. per side
1934 master has 3 horizontal louvers with stainless trim, per side

He has the door (don't remember if L or R) up by Topeka, Ks. The hood is back in SW Kansas @ his farm. I will inform you guys when I know more.
