We were bumped up from a 3 out of 5, to a 4 out of 5 for severe T-storm yesterday in S.W. Kansas. Not much of anything until 8pm. 50 miles west a bow echo formed  and wind jumped to 100mph🤯 Sky turned red with the high clouds and dust. Tom sent me a pic from his house with a vertical rainbow in the red dust. By 9 pm it hit here, wind had dropped to 80 by then. Trucks blowed over on both highways here. My neighbors fence got blowed out, broke 3 of the 4x4 posts. He had limbs down, but he is 15' higher than me. Power was out for 3hrs. I had no damage and only twiggs blown on my yard. Haven't got out and around yet to see the rest of town.

What's a bow echo  ?
Our weather has been a bit odd since finally thawing out late, late spring.  The whole month of June we had afternoon thunderstorms every day.  It almost seems like our monsoon came early. 
Things are drying out now.

Talking to a friend the other day, guess down in the Oklahoma panhandle around Tyrone, wind clocked in at 114mph🤯

Sure wish we would get rain. So far light sprinkles past 2 weeks, and a lot of wind.
