Title: A/C help
Post by: munch on August 19, 2023, 11:00:16 AM
I have never done any a/c work and just installed vintage air in my 1953 3100. All seems to have went well with evacuating the system holding -29 psi overnight. When charging I admittedly got confused and I'm sure I did something wrong. Vintage Air says acceptable operating pressure ranges should be 160 to 270 psi on high side and 10 to 20 on low side. This is what I ended up with.
Looks like I am low on the high side and extremely high on the low side. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

no, the fittings are different sizes and will only hook up one way.

make sure the orifice tube is not damaged and that the O rings are in place.
