Title: Source for Project Build Book ?
Post by: EDNY on December 08, 2012, 09:39:44 AM
I see Stacey David of GEARZ TV has a project build book ($25 shipped). I like the idea of having a log of what parts, numbers & mods going into a hotrod project.

The book is on back order, besides if I'm going to pay $25 really want my name on the cover not his ;D  Could always put a sticker on it!

Anyone else make a project book out there that is available now?

What I usually do is get a standard 3 ring binder and fill it with the clear plastic sleeves and use this to store all the reciepts that I aquire on a build. it has worked well for me in the past and it's not $25.00

You could design your one in MS Word...That way you could set it up exactly the way you wanted it and add whatever graphic you wanted and if you save it as a template you could  just modify and print a new one every time you start a new CHEVY project. :-*

I don't think it would be too hard. There are hundreds of MS templates out there that could probably be modified to do what you want. I've attached an example that shows you what's possible. It is fully editable including graphics. It enplanes how to set up headers and indexes and just about anything else you would need to do to create a costume book. You should be able to open it with MS Word and play around with it if you want. It probably would take a couple of hours to set up but once its done you should have a very useful template.

That's handy to have...maybe as the Winter sets in..I'll have some time to work on it.
