Sammons good way to remember your Dad! Today makes a year since my Dad passed. Still have his rocking chair in my garage.
Nice work on the El Camino!

Nice work!
Thanks guys. The owner was trying to find original looking covers. Dearborn sent the covers to a split back and didn't have the correct covers for a wagon with duel benches. So we came up with this, finding near original light blue.

Went to a show in Alamosa, Co. this weekend. About 600 miles round trip with good weather except 30 miles from home hit very high winds and rain. Washed some of the grasshoppers off! Sat. at the fairgrounds there were 555 cars, gave away money like $150.00, $200, $300, $500 and $600. Fed us Sat. night and gave away MORE money like $150, $400, $600 and $1000! Also gave away a rebuilt LT1 and a 4L60E. Full range of cars, rats to muscle to daily driver and high dollar cab over with canned ham trailer. This is a show I would recommend, small town, friendly people and everything you need is there.

Ooops, the give away engine was a rebuild LS1 (5.7). They also had a top 15 pick. First one was a 1965 (or so) stock VW. As I watched the cars go by it started to dawn on me these were not picked for high dollar but more or less a cross section of what was there for the show. Random I guess is the key here. Would have like for them to randomly pick my number for $$$ but failed again.

Every Saturday night they have a "car meet" at a closed up K-mart. These are mostly a import ricer thing but was told all are welcome. I took the 32 and had a good time. Brought the jeep the next weekend. The whole parking lot was full both times.
A few pics to share.

You guys look like you're having fun still, I am gonna have to do the alamosa show since it isn't to far from me. A little update on my doings. I sold the 24 dodge roadster even though it wasnt finished, but I got all my investment back cash wise. The guy that bought is working hard on it. I still have a couple of customer cas I am woking on but with the roadster gone it makes it easier to get back on my 55 gasser. I have the frame done and it is at the powder coater and should be back home next week, then I can start to finish up the chassis build with all the parts laying around. I will keep you guys updated on the progess as it goes.
Thanks John
