I'm just as frustrated.....we have the "barns" but nothing in them over here.

I drive over 40k miles a year and a lot of it is on secondary roads, we have a lot barns and I'm always trying to look in and see if there is something tucked away. I have only seen one car and the guy was not interested in talking about it.

I have come across a couple "barn finds" over the years, but the owner's thought they were sitting on a pot of gold. I did manage to pick up a 1967 Cutlass about 8 years ago. I got it at a good price, fixed it up, had some fun with it for a couple years and made a couple bucks too.

I get the same response when I run across something of interest, they think they have a valuable piece and want a mint for it.
