Title: Shaker Village Show
Post by: TFoch on October 18, 2014, 03:54:43 PM
Today I went to the Shaker Village Show with my daughter.  It's in Canterbury NH about 30 miles north of my house.  It's a museum that has 25 old buildings from the Canterbury Shakers www.shakers.org  The show was put on by the White Mountain Model A Club so I was surrounded by a sea of old Fords.  I proudly wore my Rust Bowtie t-shirt!  Everyone was great and I'll mark it on my calendar for next year.  My daughter and I had a great time checking out the cars and the exhibits in the old buildings.  Here are some pics of the cars.

Yeah we're having a blast driving it.  We reached 950 miles on it since late August.  I'm going to be bummed when it comes time to put it away for the winter in a few weeks :(

Very nice, Tom. It's great that your daughter wants to spend the time with you this way. Two covered bridges down, how many to go?

Chopper,
Yeah I'm lucky she loves coming out in the car with me.  According to a book I bought there's about 50 covered bridges that you can drive through in New Hampshire.  I plan to drive through as many as I can next summer.  Guess I'll have to start a thread to keep count ;)

That's not a bad idea. You can take us through the seasons. We might have to ask Tamara to do a calendar of pictures of just your car at different covered bridges during different seasons to match the month!  Better get a roof for that car, though, I hear February is a tough one up there. ;D

Think about trailering it too florida or the Carolinas, and doing some southern style cruising deep down south when snow is flying.

Tom you lucky devil, you are having too much fun. Nice cars, I really like the tracked model A. My dads uncle up in Minnesota had one of them except with a full closed cab pu and flatbed.

Thanks for sharing those pictures Tom. 50 covered bridges? Drive through them all for us. That black touring car on the second page is far prettier than it was new. What a beauty!

Tom those are some great pictures of the cars, I really like your I deal about visiting all the covered bridges in your state, that would a great way to enjoy your car and see a lot scenery and do something that  others don't take the time to do.
