Title: Tom..some rumble seat pics for you
Post by: EDNY on March 26, 2013, 12:06:46 PM
Tom

Here's some pictures from my 34 rumble coupe (in storage)...let me know if they help. If not, I'll take more. Looks like the drain system is just the holes in the rear floor pan area?

My 33 trunk coupe has the (2) drain holes with tube mounts.

Shrunk the pics down for posting...but have them large..you can download these or I'll send the large versions to your email?

These are fine ED. Thanks for posting them.  I'm trying to figure out how to finish the rear part of the floor behind the rumble seat so this helps.  Looks like I'll use the bead roller to make a channel for the water to go in and drill some holes (unless someone has a better idea).
Thanks, Tom

That rear panel with bead rolls is flat and has three dran holes.  I would think that you could make that panel & bead roll a couple of runs and mount the panel tilting it down in the bck where it mounts to the tail pans.   You could then fabricate drain tubes just like the regular trunk has?

FYI: I used my lathe to turn down solid stock and made drain tubes that fit into the drain tube holes - then welded them in.  Now just need to clamp some clear drain tubing from the bottom.
