I started playing with older cars in the early 50's. I've gone through a number of what I think of as personalized vehicles since then. TFoch saw me on the HAMB and recommended this site. Thanks Tom. The content and people here are much more enjoyable. I am currently playing with a 1930 Chevrolet coupe and a 1949 Pontiac coupe. I gave my son a 1945 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup to have room to build the Pontiac. I will be posting a picture story for the build of the '30 shortly.

Larry,
Glad you joined the group. Looking forward the pictures of the 30 Coupe and 49 Pontiac. I see you posted some pictures of your coupe and the 45 truck in the gallery. It’s a great group of guys on here willing to help out when they can. Enjoy!

Larry, welcome to the site. That's a nice coupe you have there, looks like you enjoy slamm'n gears. ;) Alot of great guys here. I use to get out to Famoso to the races/swap meet/ car shows. My brother lives about 120 miles from you over in Atascadero. Hopefully when my coupe is done i'll get a chance to get back out there.

Larry,
By the way your son is one lucky guy to get that 45 Chevy truck!

I couldn't agree with you more Larry. I've only had limited access to the internet for two and a half years now and joined several forums trying to get info on these old Chevy's. Most either knock what you are trying or won't respond with any positive advise unless you have 10,000 plus posts >:( This is the only forum I like with very helpful people, the rest, I wish I had never joined! ;)

Sammons,
Well said, here I feel like I can ask anything and not be made to feel like I should know the answers.
Great place...

Ditto. I thought I was pretty well schooled on cars, but I just keep learning more and more and no one has ever busted my chops even when I asked a question that I thought was stupid. Plus the guys here are alot more lighthearted and don't take themselves too serious.
