Title: 33-35 what parts are the same
Post by: David Galvin on February 15, 2015, 12:41:48 PM
I just found a 35 standard 3 window, and I want to put stock suspension and drive train in it, will the drive train and suspension out of a 33 1/2 ton chevy pickup work.

Too simplify things a 1933 Chevrolet standard motor uses its own gaskets

1934 chev standard uses its own gaskets

1935 Chevrolet standard uses its own gaskets,

if using the 33 truck ( 33 master motor )motor you will have to use 1933 master CA gaskets to rebuild it.

 they are all different

the front axle, brakes ect are same as 34 standard

the frame on a 1934 chev DC std is different than a 1935 chev EC standard

I have a complete 1935 Chevrolet standard EC series front end....plus 2--- 17 " 5 stud wire wheels with springs for sale..........I am in Canada.

You can make anything work David, but I don't think it will be an easy swap !!!
wheelbase is likely different also the trucks sat a lot higher.  frames are totally different
truck frames are very flat out the rear for the box to sit on .
I would look for a car frame or build a tube frame.
Good luck with your swap keep us posted
