Title: Help with installing lower window weatherstrip
Post by: Chemong55 on December 04, 2016, 11:38:39 AM
Not sure if I got this right or am missing something.Picture #1 is the way I installed the rubber weatherstrip.Picture #2 is with the window installed, seems to me it is too low as you can still see the nails in the red painted part (body edge) and the window channel.Picture #3 is where I think the weatherstrip should be installed as it will cover the nails and be higher up on the glass so you can't see down and see the window channel and will shed water better. The car came with all this removed so have nothing to fall back on.Hopefully some can help me out.Thanks.

The belt line seal should be attached to the outer skin of the body. So as the water hits the glass and runs down it sheds onto the outside of the opening. I used small brass flat headed screws and black weather strip adhesive to attach mine. Your wiper/whiskers will mount on the garnish molding on the inside. This is how I installed mine.
