Wow, I like hot rods as well as anyone but cutting a car like that up to build something that never was is a crime.

That sucks. Does he have a build thread where he is using the removed parts?

What the heck could he be building with what's left after hacking the body to pieces???????????

Wow, I can't imagine there are that many restored examples left of those. I don't mind cutting up junk or somebodys hacked up project, but I would have a very hard time even thinking about hotrodding that.

Moose, first thought that comes to mind is a coupe. You would have to cut even more to achive a roadster, or speedster. It doesn't make much sense to me, as many pieces are out there left to build what and how you want.

went to link and followed to HAMB, looked at car and logged in to post reply, would not let me.

I wanted to ask the seller what or why he cut the cowl and windshield posts off 1/2 way.

My only thoughts are that he wants to make some kind of speedster/racer.-

Somebody with posting ability to that site want to make a post that seller will hopefully reply too ??????????

Looking at one of the pictures shows a fully re-stored cabriolet , an expensive looking resto.  you don't figure this guy would do that.

Mike...No one can post to an ad on the HAMB site. You would have to send the original  poster a PM with that question.

I looked up his profile on the Hamb, but he didn't have but 8 posts since 2011 when he joined up, and the only post that showed up was the add for the 32 sedan parts. He might have bought someone elses failed project?  who knows.

Ok, Ill answer the add and make a deal if a couple of you will go with me to see it and kill him in order save more old Chevys. Is our Bowtie affliction a religion? Is it terror to defend it or only when we declare Jehad against the Ford guys?

I hated the "Resto-Rod" craze when they were buying museum pieces to make lame "modern rods". I know that in the past I have messed up cars that could have been restored but I have never messed up a car that was restored, restored being returned to stock condition not fixed up and sorta' looking like it did when new.

spotted this on ebay, what started out as a complete 35 Chevrolet std 3 window coupe got cut up and offered in pieces on ebay by seller DESOLDCAR.

There is also a trunk floor and grill parts

I guess cutting the car up into parts makes it worth more than the whole car ???

Too bad Sedan Chopper didn't hook up with Coupe Chopper and got his towel there. There is a wrecking yard guy here that actually enjoys cruising old cars. The thing that makes him the happiest is to crush a car you want in front of you. I was there when he crashed a near perfect '63 Cad coupe with 60,000 miles on it. It and 11  2 door Corvairs that were trade-ins from the 60s-70s that had been held back at an LA dealership because they were so clean and fell victim of the Carbon Credit scam.
