Well Rattiac you said "General-Lee" . I spotted this car (abandoned in the weeds) way back in a little Oklahoma town called Jet, back 20 some years ago. A friend's son wanted one a few years later so I told him where it was, he got down there and it was gone. He asked around and it was said to have been moved to Wakita Ok. He went there found it and bought it. Started out as a shop project for him in high school and needed more than he was capable of, so he brought it to me.  I straightned and painted, put a new interior in it and built the roll bar & front push grill gaurd, had a local vinyl letter store make the decals. (They were hand painted when he bought it).

There is a guy up by Wichita that bought the W.W.and the Dixie Dance Kings from the movie. He came by the shop wayback in the early 80's, it was on a trailer. The ol boy had been to a car show and he sold dad some car wax that he manufactured. The can of paste wax had a pic of the car on it.
A friend of dad's had one of the stunt cars of the movie Corvette Summer. God awful looking thing. He tried to sell it to me over the phone. Said it had been sitting in the shelter belt for years. He took it in trade 25 yrs ago and didn't even know what it was other than he told me it looked like a really bad attempt at a custom vette. I started asking questions and as he was trying to describe the body, it dawned on me. So I asked him if it was right hand drive, he said "how the hell did you know that" he still hadit a year or so ago.
My friend Tom and mine's Nascar theamed drag car we built in the early 90's. Need to did it out and sell it one of these days.

Very nice cars, Sammons, you really got around. They must bring back some great memories.

I nteresting. There was a older man around here that had a old willys jeep that was decked out to look like one of the vehicles used in the series RAT PATROL. He used to get pulled over all the time because of the disabled 50 caliber mounted on it.

Everyone loves the General Lee, and I loved Corvette Summer.... When I was a teenager.
I heard one of the Corvettes found its way to Australia, and is being, or has been restored to the movie look.
I once owned a Model A Colonial Cab pickup, that was in a kiwi movie called Bad Blood.
Not a theme car at all, but an important movie.
Its a not so nice, true story about a bloke called Stanley Grayham, who in 1942, shot 7 Policemen, who had gone to his farm, to collect his rifles for the war effort.
Well Stan didn't want to give up his guns, and a manhunt ensued, and he was shot. Happened about 50 miles from where I'm sitting.

I'm a real fan of the Jeepers Creepers Chevy truck. That things awesome.... Ugly, but awesome.
