Looking for a guy i met.... he is needing passenger rear quarter.... Or body and frame... Any leads would be appreciated
-
Ed I missed a call when I was out yesterday from my friend in Emporia. Called him back this morn, his is a 33 3/w Master but he doesn't have any spare body parts or frame. He said he always keeps an eye out for them because he still needs some parts.
The fellow in SW Mo will be keeping an eye out also. He didn't know much about what to look for, so I forwarded some internet pics to him so he would know. Shane hasn't spotted any other than the group of unknowns with the cable thru. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see that. ;D

Thanks Steve...figure it's gonna take some time to find a body or quarter...I saw a frame for '33 master on EBay......Are master sedan and coupe the same???
-
Ed yes my frame is from a 4 door sedan. All the 33 master chasis were the same.

Woops, Tom was faster ;D
Ed that should work. From what i've read the Master frame fit both coupe and sedan. It also has a 113" wheel base, 1" longer than the '34.
How bad is his qtr bent? He may look into a good local panel beater to straighten it. As a last resort, he could always carefully cut it off to straighten and weld back on???
-
depending on how bad the quarter panel is, punched in by an accident ???? a panel beater body man shop who has the skills and the tools can repair it. But its not going to be cheap and be forewarned about that aspect.
When I get too the quarter panel on my 35 roadster the area around the wheel well body molding is like a swiss cheese of small holes. The repair will have to be made out of new metal and the body bead line rolled into the new metal and tig welded in, followed by hammer and dolly work. Its going to cost $$$$$$$$$$$ to do it right but the chances of finding a good roadster quarter panel is remote.
Consider this............the roadster and touring bodys were supplied to Chevrolet by an outside body supplier and are different than the normal FISHER body parts.

Ok guys UPDATE after a few hours on the phone with a Dale Stevens from Kentucky found out my car is a 34 standard, and he said that a 34&35 we're the same so I need to find parts for 34 instead. That being said if anyone knows of any 34/35 coupe stuff I could sure use some parts. Thanks everyone for all the help and the welcome to the forum, seem like a great bunch of guys and if you need help finding something or going to put eyes on something in this area don't hesitate.
