1937 and 1939 Chevrolet 2dr sedans
« on: June 18, 2015, 09:38:51 PM »
Ghost I don't know if anybody up your way might be interested or not. This ol boy has many old cars out there, and he is a really nice guy. He prices all of his vehicles via "Old Cars Price Guide".  They are listed on "nextechclassifieds" and $3000 each. That place is located NNW of Kalvesta, ks. About 5 1/2 hrs from you, and 2hrs from me.

He also has a '57 Chevy BelAir 4dr hardtop listed for $3500. I looked at it years ago, but never had him price it. Its stored under an open ended hayshed.

Edit: ad must have just expired, '57 just relisted 10hrs ago along with other tri-5s.

Ghost, north of the main lot (house), the three big flat top tin looking sheds use to be full of cars also. (That's where the '57 is). He has to opperate as a museum to keep the county from trying to crush him out. When you show up there, he asks you to sign his guest registry. Odd,  but keeps him there and out of trouble. ;) He did have some unique vehicles around there, some he won't sell.

Found it on Google Earth.  Wow that's a lot of cars!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Back in the early 80's most of the small towns around here still had city dumps. People use to just drag old cars out there. You could just drag them back to town if you wanted one, Government/State killed that. :(  clear at the back of ours, there were some really old ones stacked. I found an old Stutz under a big pile when I was a kid. Crawled in and got one of the hub caps off, (still have it somewhere). One time we found a pretty nice model A p.u., took it apart piece by piece and brought it back to town in multiple red wagons. ;D  Started to put it back together and lost interest. My friends dad got mad it was taking up shed space and took it back out to the dump (and scattered it) :(

Here is two more old yards in my area.
1- Buds Salvage, Aline Ok.
2- Stapelton Salvage, Dodge City Ks.
