th350c looking for wiring suggestions
« on: January 25, 2014, 08:49:00 AM »
Dropped my transmission off at the rebuild shop to get rebuilt, having a complete rebuild done with shift kit and some extra clutches put in and having the shift point extended to let  the engine wind up a little before shifting. This transmission has a lock up circuit  in it does anybody have any suggestions on a wiring circuit?

Thanks Moose    I've got that circuit looking for something that would not require any manual setting, also  have the factory circuit was told that it would pulsate under certain loading conditions of the engine. I see B&M make a lock up kit that is adjustable and sets by the speedometer.

If you don't want to use a toggle switch you might want to go with the system that the early Chevy trucks used. They had a vacuum sensor the worked in conjunction with the pressure switch in the transmission and the brake switch to control TCC by sensing engine load. Take a look at this link and see what you think.

Seen that circuit that is what I meant by the factory circuitry, I thought maybe somebody had come up with something else that would work better without spending a lot of cash.

I really haven't decided which circuit I'm going to use. There is several different circuits used, you just have to choose what fits your driving habits.
