Here are the pics of what I did. I started with the original reflectors and cut the middle out of them. Then attached the new reflectors to the old reflector rims with 4-40 screws as shown. Everything fit right back in the original headlight buckets. They measure 8 1/2" across.Tom

Does haveing the amber bulb in the reflecter mess with the light pattern? I am going to do it your way unless eddie comes up with a bolt in reflecter.What did you do with the bayonett connecter on the back of the houseing where the wireing comes thru?I was thinking hole saw that out and put in a rubber grommet,then run all 3 wires inside a piece of ss braided hose,do the same in the fender with a larger grommet that a 3 prong plug would fit thru.

Right now I have a rubber grommet in there but I haven't mounted them on the car yet. I plan to get some type of conduit and seal it to the housing and then run the wires to the grill.
Speedway has a pair of wire conduit with pretty good reviews for $34.99. Might be cheaper the way you mentioned.
