Not too much going on here lately therefore I propose a 3 word story thread! I sure you've all see them before but if not, the rules are simple. You answer the post above with only 3 words. The goal is to make a story that never ends!..oh and one other thing... keep it on the hot rod theme. Lets see how far this can go!
I'll start.
Nothing but rust
-
How about:
"on the machine"
-
He was determined
-
It would shine
-
oh so bright
-
Like a diamond
-
in the rough
-
The grinder spun
-
Rust did fly
-
it was late
-
in the evening
-
sun already set
-
can't stop now
-
Have to continue
-
even though I
-
could use some
-
Rusty Bowtie advice
-
Energize the computer
-
now I'm tired
-
Tomorrow's another day
-
swallowed that fly
-
the only one
-
I could catch
-
was real tasty
-
but one's enough
-
for each day
-
Back to work
-
as early morning
-
soon will come
-
the hot rod
-
must get done
-
it's my dream
-
to run the
-
big block Chevy
-
with open headers
-
and a blower
-
manual or automatic
-
I can't decide
-
but a powerglide
-
just won't do
-
needs three pedals
-
maybe a Muncie
-
with deep gears
-
at the rear
-
will spin the
-
tires on the
-
shift into third
-
and fourth too
-
I just hope
-
it is all
-
what I imagine
-
and hope it
-
turns some heads
-
Sure is fun
-
to see what
-
an old chevy
-
can do with
-
a little imagination.
-
and grease under
-
all your fingernails
-
a few busted
-
knuckles and nuts
-
The first drive
-
is always a
-
nail biting adventure
-
but hard work
-
always pays off

when finally arrive

Summer is here

The first show

Is it ready

the paint shines
-
the engine rumbles
-
right foot twitchy

-
second, third, forth

smokes the tires
-
hear them squeal
-
leaving two black
-
and smokey strips
-
of long black
-
hot molten rubber
-
clouds of smoke
-
billowed from the
-
from the chrome
-
trim on both
-
outside edges of
-
of the rear
-
wheel well openings
-
filling the air
-
with the smell
-
I like so
-
much when it
-
finally gets traction
-
and you can
-
feel the front
-
end start lifting
-
and the steering
-
getting real light
-
front wheels are
-
are beginning to
-
to loose their
-
contact with the
-
asphalt, good thing
-
the rear bumper
-
stopped me from
-
going too far.

is now somewhat
