That shouldn't be hard to recognize. I'd just go get something the garage owner had that I liked.
-
I remember seeing it for sale on craigslist a while back..the garage probably sold the car via mechanics lien?

There has to be more to this story than a garage owner selling this guys car.
Probably failed to keep up monthly rent , or could not be gotten in touch with .
If the car is stolen then the police would be involved.
Also the body serial number would be lodged with state department of transportation or whatever its called in his state. When the person who now owns it tries to register it for title, the serial number comes up and he is denied. Police contacted and vehicle seized.

I agree with the more to the story than what's being told.

That custom treatment for that car???????. I hope he gets the car back, but maybe if he's lucky that front end work will be lost forever. Damn thing looks like a hammer head shark

A clear case of beauty being in the eye of the beer holder. ::) That said how many cars do you see that you truly think have been improved by what has been done to it? I'm mostly thinking of '50s-'60s customs but a lot of rods fit too. If I was this guy I'd burn down the garage and use the reward money to buy an unmolested '36. :o
