Title: Traffic light viewer location
Post by: EDNY on May 17, 2016, 04:51:26 PM
Does this prism need to be mounted directly in front of the driver or can it be mounted in an existing dash hole located in the center of the dash?

I have seen them mounted exactly in the center. I am sure it doesn't matter as long as the  street lights in your area give you a good color reflection.

The visor on my pickup has a small crease across it with little slots in it. At first I thought it was a lame attempt to let air through and reduce drag. Then I noticed that most street lights can be viewed through them and otherwise could not be seen without putting my chin on the dash. :o I like those little prisms though and I'm going to get one when I grow up. ::)

I have mine mounted slightly off center towards the drivers side.  Just sit in the seat and set it to where you can see the stop lights without bending your neck sideways.

Think mine has been installed in 35 std coupe since late 70's.
