Bar's Leaks Block Seal Head Gasket Fix - 24 oz Stop Coolant Leaks Radiator 1111

FYI Only, a couple months ago my S10 pickup 2.2 engine (145K miles) began dripping anti freeze up front above the water pump. Installed a new water pump the month before so I knew it wasn't leaking. Figured it was either the head gasket or freeze plug. Anyway it was dead in the middle of winter and I just didn't want to pull the head at that time.

A contact told me about this Bars Leak product and that it could be put in the cooling system without removing the anti-freeze. Bought a bottle for about $26 and figured what the heck I'll give it a try. So following the instructions I poured it in a cold engine, started it and watched the anti freeze drip just stop in about 5 minutes.

It's been a couple of months now and it's still not leaking, runs great and has about 151K on it now. Like I said FYI only..I'm sold on the stuff...ain't cheap..but it worked for me.

what it does is plug any water coolant leaks as the product has something in it that makes it coagulate when exposed to air.

Our blood has a similar product in it to stop bleeding .

Bars leak has been around for a long long time, I have even used it in times past .

I don't know if it is still true but up to a few years ago every car that rolled off of the Big 3 assembly lines had a shot of Bars Leak in it.

I've used that copper stuff in the past...but this stuff really did the job.  If you ever need an emergency fix out on the road..this is it.

I might just need some of that stuff thank.  Years ago I used some stuff in a old ford engine that had a crack in the block and would not hold water, I believe it was called water glass, it patched up the block with a clear looking stuff that became hard as it oozed out of the crack and got exposed to air.
