My Dad left me a few sheet metal tools like this Slip Roll. It was mounted on an old board and moved from bench to a saw horse or to where ever I could put it. Decided to make a stand for it as I reorganize my basement shop. Started with a Bench Grinder Stand #03184 from Harbor Freight ($23 with 20% coupon). I cut the top part in half and attached each half to a piece of extra counter top I had. Added some bracing to the legs. Used some short pieces of 4X4 to raise the Slip Roll a bit. Now it has it's own stand and place in my shop ready to use.

Dad's tools are best! 8)

Tom...nice job.
I always watch local auctions for work benches or machinery mounts that no one gives a second look at. Been picking up some real heavy duty stuff...so heavy duty that I have to put casters on all of them! Don't have a lot of room so being able to store the equipment out of the way helps.
Now I need to make a bench for that throat-less shear you made me buy ;D

The bench for that shear will have to be anchored or very heavy. Takes a lot of force if you want to cut the heavier stuff.
I'm slowly trying to organize my shop. I did buy an English Wheel. Can't wait to get to play around with that. I'll post a thread on it when I do.

Nice, now put a piece of plywood on the braces for a shelf

That worked out well Tom! Looks easy to move around too.
