Post by: vette59jdwl on February 06, 2015, 09:29:31 PM
I know this has been asked before. Does anyone have measurments or a schematic of any of the wooden parts for either a 31/32 chevy coupe or a 31/32 chevy roadster. If anyone needs the measurments or parts for the doors I have them ,.If anyone need the frame rails for either I have them. vette59jdwl.  Looking for measurements on cross members and or any uprights along with the measurements for the boot. Convertible top  thanks

I built me one of those copier duplicators and i am making copies of all the wood. I got my drivers door for the roadster from Don Beals and am happy as hell with what i got. I have made three complete so far for the roadster 32 and am working on the passengers side door as we speak. I have no idea where you would get the metal parts for the doors. I have what came with my car and will be using all the original equipment I am using a 250 with a 57 truck bellhousing an 11 inch flywheel and a 5 speed stick with a 1989 Dodge D-50 rear end  wanted juice brakes and everything else to make it look almost original sort of a restomodI will talk with Glen Rarick tomorrow evening and ill ask him he might know. vette59jdwl

I was going to take the cowl off this weekend but mother nature dropped another 6 inches on my portable garage and pooof  down she came I will not be able to evaluate the damage till spring. and now tonight dang weather man says another 20 centimeters. OK enough winter can go south  vette59jdwl

Redsshed77   I am making the main rails for either a 31 coupe or roadster or a 32 coup or roadster I am making them out of Two sheets 3/4 inch plywood with 1/8 inch glued and screwed in between for a total thickness of 1-5/8 inches. I am also duplicating the wood for the 1932 chevrolet roadster not sure if 31 is the same or not.
What i wish to do is to make patterns or copy any particular piece and then make copies. I have read to many times of people just destroying the wood out of their cars and then tomorrow someone is looking for information and measurments say for a door block to hold a door lock mechanizm ??????what did you have in mind   vette59jdwl
