Sixball, i just watched several youtube shows on Lovelace cave, red headed giants.  I remember something in one of my history classes in high school. I was thinking it was around Las Vegas. Hell it's up north not too far from you. Interesting anyway.

Brother is busy trying to rebuild his washed out roads since the rain has stopped. Go Kabota😁

The stories of those red headed giants is very interesting. It is too bad that the skeletons have gone away.

I was able to keep most of the water from running down my road. I was out for a while today moving snow. It didn't get above freezing again so it is melting slowly only where the sun hits it.

I spent the day on my Kubota moving ice & snow and making mud. I didn't get stuck but it doesn't do well on icy hills.  :o

That is when down pressure on the three point/ box scraper would be nice. Use it & the bucket to pick up the whole tractor and start throwing stuff under it. I had my Ford stuck like that in mud behind the house for months once until it dried up enough to pull it out. I got one truck stuck and another nearly stuck trying to get it out. Now I have a winch but the Ford has now been teetering over the edge of a road on a hillside for a few years now. Maybe I'll winch it out this spring.  :)

Years ago I was digging a pond at one of our springs with a small JD crawler. The water was running in and my exit ramp was too steep. I spun the tracks and the tractor sank to the frame. When the water got high enough to hit the fan water was thrown on the ignition and I was dead in the water. A friend came up with his backhoe and pulled me out. I wish that little crawler still worked. I could sure use it now.

That was my problem with my old '46 farm jeep. Didn't want to screw up the old Monroe 3 point, on the rear, so i just put a double act cylinder on the front blade. Sure made a difference in being able to move a lot of dirt.

Lol Ed that is the very video i sent my brother. He already recovered all by that time, but said he would keep that in mind for the next time.

Im probably going to head out camping again.  This time along the Pony express road,  Simpson Springs campground.  It looks like it's been improved since I was out there last in the 32. That was 2015.
Should be a dry day,  not expecting any storms till late Sunday.
Campground overlooks a corner of Dugway proving grounds.  They call it area 52.
Also wild horses are out there.  Always wanted to photograph wild horses.  Should be fun,  talk to yall Sunday night.

Have a fun trip and bring us some video!

I see all the feral horses I need from the porch. They are to the west what pythons are to the Everglades except that are totally protected at great cost to the environment & tax payers. I don't know if this link will work or not. It is on Facebook.

Thanks.  Got back around noon.  It was super muddy heading out there but left while it was still frozen. The horses were way off the dirt road,  needed binoculars to see em.  Here's a pic at 6:30am.
Was watching the fog roll back and forth across the desert was cool.  Kinda like ocean waves.

Pretty, but looks damn cold🥶  Sure glad i was sitting in the sun in the garage drinking coffee to watch😁

I finally got around to installing a new flame sensor and wall thermostat the other day when it warmed up a bit.  I had cleaned the old flame sensor sometime back even though it worked. Had a cold snap with wind night before, heard the furnace short cycling again. I use an anolog thermostat, and suspected the antisapator on burn time. Also unit wouldn't always come back on if you changed temp. Boy that made a differance. Everthing is working better than it has in last couple years.

Our two 250 gallon propane tanks are empty. I'm hauling 25 gallon thanks more than 150 pounds each when full, old heavy tanks. I only got 4 days out if the first one. I've lowered the down stairs thermostat and been tweaking the upstairs one. Tomorrow is the 4th day for this tank. The snow is still melting slowly and the mud not drying up at all. With good weather it will be weeks before a truck can get up here. At least it is not as cold as the last couple of months, no new snow, and the sun shines most days so we have electricity. We didn't get near as cold as some of you did.
