I've read where it's a north/south thing...if you live in a consistently hot location you want the fluid entering the transmission cooled,,if you live in a consistently cold location you want the fluid entering the transmission warmed up I do know the best external cooler is the stacked plate type.
OK was in a discussion with a friend on in line trans cooler plumbing....I don't think there is one way to do it....what is the best way to route your trans lines.... I was going to take the hot line to the radiator let the fluid go Thur the radiator cooler....exit radiator to frame mounted cooler then exit cooler to return side of transmission.....my friend was going to go thru cooler first then thru radiator ....exit radiator back to trans....any thoughts or opinions??
Steve.... on the weather packs..I have found a source here that deals in truck parts and sell their weather pack cheap....I believe I gave $4.50 for a 4 plug set up versus the $11.99 that Speedway wants....when your ready let me know and I'll pick some up for you...need to get more..went there last week needed 3 wire ones ...and they were out of them.....been colder here than I like but try to get out there when I can
