Looks great. Welcome aboard.

I didn't realize that 33 chevys had the detail in the fenders like a 32 chevy. Interesting.
-
Yeah here's a picture of the front fender up closer.
-
The 32 detail is slightly narrower than the 33

I guess an old dog can be taught something new. Thanks guys

Hello from jocko @ Springfield, IL. My 33 coupe is all original steel except for the steel Smoothie running boards. It has a 73 Z28 350 and turbo 350 trany with a S10 rear. I run the original straight axle with discs on the front and rear drum brakes. Soft top, with replacement main rails and rear window wood. After the body work the entire body was sealed and put together to drive and work out the bugs. Need to stop driving, disassemble and paint (Indigo Blue Metallic).

Jocko..Thanks for signing up. I also have an S10 axle in my 33 (5W)..it's a 8.5" 10 bolt out of a 2WD Xtreme. Running stock width rear fenders...also have 15x8 rear wheels with a 3.25" backspace to center the 235-75R15 tires within the fenders.
Are you using the same backspace?

With a stock rear fender and the tire inside the fender I am running a 15x7 with 3 3/4 backspace and a 235x70xR15 BFG tire. The rear is out of a 4WD S10 Blazer which has the same width as the original 33 rear (it fits on the spring alignment pins). The 4WD rears are wider than the 2WD vehicles.

10-4 on the extra width..I think the 4X4 is 4" wider. My 2WD S10 axle is 54.5" between wheel mounting surfaces. I had a 4X4 unit but for some reason...it was too wide for my car? The 2WD fit so good..I picked up another one. The 8.5" 10 bolt S10 "2WD" rear axles are rare...they only put them in 2WD S10's with the 4.3 5sp. The 4X4 S10 8.5" unit is more common and found in the ZR2 trucks.

Jocko, is your car a rumble seat or trunk?
-
A trunk.
