Was watching Mechum car auctions the other day.
They had a 80's square body chevy on the line. After the commercial the same truck was finishing up bidding and noticed they bent the hood when they closed it. 😳
Camera man was real quick to not show the hood.
Later was shocked to see this 80's truck pulled in more money than a beautiful 32 Buick that was way nicer (in my opinion) .
Seems like 60's Era muscle cars are overly inflated and 30' 40's Era suffers.
I always notice some of the crap like old wrinkled tops, wrinkled seats , carpet falling off the doors.
But wait until you see this.
IMHO this car didn't deserve 10k.

That guy definitely got screwed. I'd be headed back there with a 12 gauge but who would ever pay that kind of money for a car they had not seen? I am very skeptical of "finished" cars. A guy here bought what I'd call the Model A street rod equivalent of that car. Paint over bondo & rust, leaking smoking 350/350. crappy chop. It was at best a 20 footer. I had a hard time containing my laughter when he proudly told me what he payed for it, but I have to admit it was better than the '58 Chevy he he bought a year or so later. As long as guys like him create a market crooks will supply it.

I would not buy a car sight unseen under any circumstance, but its done every day by someone (foolish}
