Wire size gauge?

(1/2) > >>

EDNY:
Anyone make a reference tool that can be used used to determine wire gauge size? Working with the 18-22 gauge stuff..it's hard to tell the difference. Maybe something with small samples of each gauge?

I think my company makes a wire size gauge. I'll take a look tomorrow when I go in.

There are several different style of gauges on the market. The one I have is round and has the wire size etched on it with a slot for  the diameter of the wire.  You stripe off the insulation and insert into the corresponding slot. General tool has them.

I have that type...the wire gauge portion must be for solid wire stock?  The stripped wire is not close to the hole size & displayed gauge numbers..BUT I use it for metal thickness all of the time.

We do make a Wire Mic.  Here's a picture.  Not sure if that's what you're looking for.
