Yup Happy Father's Day!  Going to enjoy time with the kids and grandkids!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Happy Fathers Day all! Just got back from brunch in Reno with sons, grandsons, and the mothers that made it work. Watching baseball.  :)

Happy Father's day yall !  8)
Just got home from camping about an hour away from home.
Friday got off at 2. Went up Parleys canyon I-80 in 90+ heat and overheated . Wife quick on controls flipped on the heater.  Wasn't boiling in the overflow.
Just as we cooled down and started going again,  it vapor locked 🤨.
Couldn't do more than 10mph with it surging back and forth. If I feathered the gas it would slightly accelerate.  Got over the top and cooled the jeep on the way down , was also leaning from an airbag line melted.
Fixed that at camp and saw family,  fished with my dad and caught a big fish on my birthday.
Yeah it was a good weekend even with the highway issues.

Hope everyone had a great day! I made all my calls early to Stepdad, Uncle etc. Then out to the cemetery to say hey to pop before it got too hot. Ran across some old pics of Fathers Day 1967, Grandpa and grandma made the trip back from Calif too. Had a good weekend that year.

Rattiac, good on the wife for turning heater on. Sometimes that little extra cooling makes all the difference from keeping it under. Although very uncomfortable to have it on high when it's that hot out🥵 Looks like your dog found a shady spot😁

Rattiac, glad you didn't have any permanent damage. Sammons, nice pictures of you and your Dad, what ever happened to that Corvette?

Sammons, nice pictures of you and your Dad, what ever happened to that Corvette?

Chopper, he bought it as a trade in at the Chevy dealer he worked at. It was a base 327 model, not very fast. In late '68 he ordered a new GM 350 sortblock, bought an Isky cam, Mondello 2.02 heads, headers and replaced the 3.08 rear gear with a 3.55 Then a new crashed '68  M-22 (396 Camaro) from salvage yard. Did some street racing for extra bucks. In '71 he sold it to a local guy, minus motor (and pulled the M-22 and give the guy the original M-21)to put a down payment on the Body Shop. The guy had a new GM 396 installed, then had dad install 4 fender flairs and paint it black. Dad hated to do it but needed the money. The guy sold the Vette in '73 or '74 and we lost track of it.

That's a cool story, just too bad, like you said, that he had to sell it. Also a shame you lost track, but maybe better off you don't know what happened to it.

Yep, sometimes you don't want to know what became of a car. Vette long gone but to this day I know where that 350 and M-22 are😁 They both survived many cars🙂
