The bbc blower motor I'm going to use in the 28 currently resides in my drag boat. It has a 16 qt Milodon lube system with a full floe oil over water cooler. When I put it in the car I want to retain the oil cooler feature, but of course it will have to be air over. This will be easy to do as I have a rather large 14" x 30" space below the rad where it can go,and there is even room for an electric fan (pull thru). Ive read somewhere that properly sized oil coolers will reduce the cooling load on the rad by 10%.If this is true , it would be great becausethe 28 shell is small and I'm sure that whatever I can squeeze in there will probably be marginal for this motor. Does anyone have any real time experience with this? In the boat cooling was not an issue because I had the whole lake,so I dont really knowhow much heat the oil cooler pulled off. I'm open to opinions/sugestions as well.
