Title: New to this forum
Post by: k24556 on February 13, 2014, 06:43:50 PM
I just found this forum and it looks like a great place to learn. I live in Huntersville NC, and we are hard core GM'ers. Currently our stable includes a 2003 chev Truck, a 2012 Yukon, a 2011 Grand Sport Corvette and a 2000 Corvette I drive on the street and take to the track on occasion. I was at the January Car Auction at Metrolina and two old Chevy's tugged hard at my heart, so I'm starting a quest to find a 1930's Chevy to show and putt around in. A neighbor down the street has a "T" and a Hudson Touring and the old cars are really speaking to me. After paying our rich Uncle, I'll get really serious.

Thanks, Brian

Thanks for the welcome! I'll be checking in from time to time as I search for an oldie to add to the "stable". Been to the places you folks are from. I guess you have heard about the sink hole swallowing the Corvettes at the NCM. Being a lifetime member of the NCM, it is sad, but the press conference today indicated the Museum has insurance.

If you know of swap meets in the southeast US, please let me know. I'm a regular at the auto fair at Charlotte motor Speedway each spring and fall. usually you can find anything you need there.

Hi Brian. Really glad to have ya hanging around, and like the others have said there is a lot of old car smarts around here. Good luck on your old car quest, and check the wood condition on any car you look at from the early to mid 30's....John
