Title: Anyone make a manual window roll up kit?
Post by: EDNY on January 20, 2013, 01:48:35 PM
Would like to set up my 33 (5W) that is chopped & no vent windows with manual roll up windows. Really don't care for electric and it isn't like I can't reach the doors cranks (it's a coupe)!

Don't have the original roll-up hardware - any ideas for a simple donor car install or commercial source?

Thanks

Maybe you could cobble something out of the ones that Summit has. Take a look...http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gmk-4144-420-77l/media/images (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gmk-4144-420-77l/media/images)

That would be a good start...but I really need a more complete kit....may just wind up with electric.

Years ago I used early VW Beetle window regulators on a project. They,re simple and light manual cable driven type. This company apparently still sells them.... Take a look. You'll need to install your own channel but you would most likely have to do that with with power kits as well.

I think you would need a couple of these too
