He has much better tools than I had to work with when I made mine. ;)  An english wheel is a much needed shaping tool for crowning. That darned old rolling pin doesn't work near as well ;D

How have I lived this long, built so many cars, and yet have no real understanding of body/sheetmetal work?  :-[

Sixball, probably the same reason I'm not much of a mechanic. I grew up around body/paint work. I was around many mechanics that grew up on the farm and in the beggining they learned to repair all mechanical things to keep the farm going in the begining. I always swaped mech work for body work when I could. I learned to overhaul a small block chevy and manual transmissions, brakes, etc to keep my cars going. Was mainly a parts changer, and never fully understood the details of it all!

I like rolling pins, but not on my head.

You're probably like the rest of use you use what you have or come up with something to get the results you want.
