Rattiac:
That is nice.  Like the lil details,  brass nuts, ect.  👍

Essex_29:
Thank you all, for the support and kind words!

chopper526 After pondering to and fro, I decided to paint the air filter housings black, and did it today.
This is what the Air Maze air filter sticker looked like (bottom), and the top one is my own redesign. I tried to
"Americanize" the Brittish filter sticker, just for fun.
I'll still have to order the sticker, but that's what it will look like. Just noticed that I have a typo there.

Yesterday I jacked up the body, still sitting on its dolly, to be able to do some welding that I couldn't do while
the frame was still bolted to the floor. To be done is finish welding a lot of rosette welds along the trans tunnel
and some details around the bottoms of the B-pillars.

The bottom edge along the rear of the body has some rust along it, so it needs some repair work done.

My project seems to have come to a standstill. Funny, since I've been at it like usual.
The body has been welded all along the trans tunnel and around the B-pillars, like I
mentioned earlier. A bright light inside the car and welding from the underside, I found
a wealth of small holes and misses in my welds, and also a few places where the work
wasn't quite finished. The bottom part of the rear end of the body still to do before
primerig the underside.

A few days went into designing, some shopping for materials and making an ignition
wire holdup thing. The ignition wires need to be held with something, since they run
above the exhaust headers. This design utilizes the original loom inside a
rectangular pipe.

When I got it in place, I thought it looked awful big and didn't like it. Even painted, and
decorated with brass acorn nuts, it looks too bulky to me, so I tried a simpler approach,
which I like better.

I made these things from nylon and they hold the ignition wires nicely and scurely. They
are held together with M3 screws and nuts, I think about #5 - 40 size. This is what's
holding the wires to the unpainted pieces of flat bar in the above pic.

very light gray here, because they're sanded with coarse sanding paper, but it's
actually black nylon.
