Radiator Shell ID?

I got some pretty good information for a guy on another site and I'm hoping he can measure his '26 radiator. It looks like Griffen may have some that will work, sorta'.  ::)

Do any of you know how to remove the Bow Tie emblem from these shells?

My old '29 Chevy coupe bowtie fell off, i recall looking at how it was installed.  It had a gray colored hard thin blob on the back of emblem. Not sure if it was some kind of glue or maybe lead solder?

Ron is it something I said?

Sammons, I was wondering that or if it was a piece of tin or lead that was expanded on the back after being installed from the front. Some of the replacements have a threaded stud with a nut.
