The doctors decided that I am good for the TAVR procedure. So from here I have a dentist appointment tomorrow to make sure there are no oral infections. Friday I have a pre-admission appointment to have a blood draw and another COVID test. After that I have to self quarantine  until I report to the hospital on Tuesday at 5:30 AM. If all goes well I'll be released Wednesday and have to stay near Reno untilI have a followup check Thursday or Friday. Then home maybe.

All they gathered from last week's exams and procedures went well so I think we are good to go with great hope for a good outcome. I'll let you know I'm fine as soon as I can.  :)

Thanks guys! This is a very interesting procedure and far less invasive than standard open heart surgery, which I did 20 years ago. It's very much like placing a stent except the stent has valve in it. I'd never herd about it until a few weeks ago. I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers.  :) 8)

Tom you’re in great hands with your team of Drs! Be strong and you will get through this with all your friends and family standing behind you!
I had brain surgery twice at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with excellent results! For me it was just like pulling out a splinter in my finger after all that I have been through in my life!
Be strong and your thoughts are in all our prayers!

Thanks again for the support .Did the last blood draw and COViD test yesterday. My dentist even called his crew in yesterday to do 3 fillings because after the valve replacement I won't be able to have dental work for 6 months. His office would not have been open at all yesterday. He did that for me, he doesn't need the money. I had to promise to have him up for a day of ground squirrel shooting when this is over.  ;D
Now I just have to stay home and get to the hospital a 5:30 AM Tuesday. Should be done by 8 - 9. I won't have access to this site until Wednesday or Thursday. I feel very confident in the folks who are are working to make this happen. Everyone has been great.  As I progress through the process I'm thanking each one for their part in the miracle because when it is done I won't see those life savers again. I see this as the answer to my prayers for more strength and energy giving me the ability to get the damn roadster built. You guys shouldn't get to have all the cool cars around here.  8)

We'll be waiting to hear from you as soon as you are able.  And then after you're back up to speed we'll expect updates on the roadster build ;D  Be well Tom.
