I have a set of 1930 headlight buckets that I got from Ghost, and have been reworking them. Looking pretty good. I think I may have found a set of trim rings and lens, but want to make them modern lights. I guess I might get lucky and find a 9 1/4 sealed beam that would fit but have not yet. Does anyone have any suggestions for converting them to usable lights? All I have is the buckets now, and took out the original bulb socket because of corrosion.

MUNCH...I have some head light adapters...but nothing for your 9.25 inch opening..attached are some photos...FYI
Photo 29 outer ring goes around 7 inch seal beam then into the adapter

There's is a H4 socket conversion kit that you can by from Speedway that might work for you.

Check with the 30-31 ford headlight conversions. They might be the right size or really close

Did a little checking on the diameter of seal beams, they are measured in 1/8" being a Par 74 is what you need to obtain the 9.25 dia. seal beams are a parabolic aluminized reflector or "PAR" 9.25 divided by .125 = par74
-
Thanks guys, I thought about the conversion units but do not have the reflectors. I need to track some down. 62131 where do I find the par74?
-
Good morning munch. The ford conversions I am referring to come complete with the reflectors that will mount the new hallogen bulbs in them.

Ghost,
The ones I see have 8 1/2 inch reflectors, are you saying they could be mounted down in the bucket?

I can't seem to find anything larger than a PER 64.

I don't know about that, but if they are too small the 32 ford buckets are a larger unit. worth a look

Ghost,
I found a conversion set for a 32 and the reflectors measure 9 1/4, sure hope the fit.
Thanks Ghost

Sorry for the delay in my response just returned home from Shades O the Past car show. I can't help you with where to find them just added that info so it would give you something to search with.
